Have you ever wondered how artists make their characters look like they’re actually thinking or feeling something? What makes the difference between a design that’s appealing VS. one that isn’t?
In this 3-session prerequisite workshop, you’ll learn the skills and principles behind drawing faces with personality, attitude and believable expression. We’ll explore structure, exaggeration and the subtle storytelling details that bring drawings to life. Each session builds confidence and creativity as you experiment with shape, rhythm and design to create original characters that truly stand out.
This is the first introductory workshop in our UCW Character Lab series — a multi-lab lineup created to guide artists through the process of designing amazing characters, one step at a time. Look for Lab 2 COMING SOON!
No experience required, just curiosity and a willingness to try.
