Understanding perspective is one of the most valuable foundations an artist can build—it’s all around us! Whether students want to create interior environments, exterior spaces, believable scenes, or place people and objects within them, perspective is essential.

In this introductory workshop, students will explore the core concepts of 1-point perspective in this fun, hands-on workshop designed to build confidence, understanding and creative skill.

Through guided exercises, you’ll learn about vanishing points, eye lines and believable structure—then practice applying those principles to either real-world and imaginative spaces. We’ll start from the very beginning and break everything down step-by-step so that by the end of the workshop, you’ll have a strong understanding and be well on your way to creating immersive, 3-dimensional artwork with clarity and purpose.

This workshop is ideal for beginner to intermediate artists interested in illustration, animation, concept art or comics—or anyone who wants to improve their artwork for fun. All materials are provided. No prior experience needed—just bring your imagination and a willingness to try!
