It’s time to take your next great step in animation—literally!
In this third workshop of our Flipbook Animator series for adults, you’ll learn how to create a simple, believable walk cycle that builds on everything learned in the first two workshops.
You’ll bring a character to life through grounded, natural movement and simplified body mechanics—complete with weight, balance, overlap, drag and more. If time permits, we’ll animate two versions of the walk cycle: one on-the-spot treadmill walk, followed by a progressive walk across the page, adding a touch of personality to your animation.
This workshop is perfect to enjoy solo, bring a date or create with friends!

Flipbooks are a form of animation known as “straight-ahead”. We will also be offering traditional and tradigital pose-to-pose animation workshops soon!

As the Founder and Director of Upchuckle Education, Brad brings over 20 years of experience as a professional artist, character designer, animator and director of award-winning animated television shows. In addition to creating entertainment for audiences around the globe, he has served as an Animation Diploma Program Director and Instructor at an accredited art and animation college.
Having worn many hats throughout his diverse career, Brad is now focused on helping students develop their own skills and creative voice. His passion for teaching—paired with extensive industry expertise—drives him to inspire and support learners at Upchuckle Education: a place where people of all ages and experience levels can feel safe, supported and encouraged as they explore creativity, gain confidence and grow their abilities.
