Discover how to bring your characters to life—starting with strong faces and expressions.
In this 3-session introductory workshop series for teens (ages 14-17), you’ll learn how to draw expressive faces that show emotion, and designs that pop off the page. These lessons will explores structure, exaggeration and storytelling through facial design, helping you build confidence and skill while creating your own original characters.
This is the first workshop in the UCW Character Lab series, designed to guide young artists step-by-step through the process of character creation—from faces and poses to full character stories and relationships. Lab 2 will be coming soon!
No experience needed—just curiosity, imagination and a desire to try.

The Important Rules Stuff:
Students must be between the ages of 14-17.
Students aged 14-15 must be enrolled by their parent or legal guardian.
Students aged 16-17 may register themselves or be registered by their parent/legal guardian.
